Seat Fillers

A person that brushes up against your life but never effects your life in the slightest. Seat fillers are those people out there that seem to be there just to prove that you and your friends and family are not the only ones on the planet.

A seat filler in your life isn't even allowed to interact on a level deeper than standing in the shadows.

I know for a fact that they exist because I have personally tried to engage seat fillers in conversation or befriend them and it is impossible.

Seat fillers are a necessity. Otherwise it would be a very lonely planet.

At award ceremonies like the Oscars they have people who are paid to keep the seats full when the stars get up and move around or participate int eh show - that way the camera always see a full house.
The teller at my bank will not interact - if she is the perfect example is seat fillers she is an android of some sort - but I am not sure they have invented androids yet :)

filler

A segment of anime, whether it be an entire episode or part of one, which does not appear in the manga of the title. Fillers, as the name implies, "fills" an episode with non-canonical material which has been written usually by the same company which animates it.

Animation companies utilize fillers for a number of reasons:

** If the companies feel that the anime is catching up to the manga too quickly, they will insert entire filler episodes to allow the manga writer to write more chapters.

** Anime versions are usually able to adapt at least two manga chapters per anime episode. If the anime writers feel that a crucial chapter should not be aired in the last part of an episode, they will add a filler segment to make up for this, and air the crucial parts in a fresh episode.

** If the anime gains huge popularity amongst the viewers, anime companies often add fillers to extend the anime, capitalizing off the popularity (one example of this is Naruto, airing fillers for over a year, turning the anime stale).
It is a common misconception that "fillers" are only used to refer to entire non-canonical episodes. This is due to 14 year old anime fans bastardizing this word by drawing it out of context in its use.

Miller Toilet Filler

A big Beer Poo after consuming large quantities of delecious Miller Lite and hot wings. The result is loose bowl movements that float around in the toilet water and don't always flush completely down on the first try. The person usually feels much better, relieved, and refreshed after complete defecation.
Man, I took the best Miller Toilet Filler after I got into the office today, I should have taken a picture of it. I feel so much better, I will probably do another one later.
