The first legit year of high school. This is the year when you start to have a more authentic high school experience unlike freshman year. Most people are turning 16, you can get your license, get a job, and have a lot more independence overall. Classes are harder than the year before, more is expected of you. You kind of have to have some idea of what college you want to go to so you can a head start on requirements etc. despite all the hype of not being a freshman anymore, you're still not really an "upperclassmen" until junior year. unfortunately.
Freshman: "Eh, I hate being a freshman, it's boring and basically like 8th grade."
Sophomore: "It'll get better. Next year you can get your drivers license and stuff. sophomore year is where it's at."

Year 6 will either be your best or your worst year. You will definatley have more responsible ability
Year 6 teachers will try to prepare their students for secondary school by making the work harder and having stricter class rules. Not to mention the dreaded S.A.Ts tests.
It gets better towards the end of the year though. You will have your end of year leavers performace, leavers trip and much more to look forward to. Warning: The leavers assembly at the end of the year will possibly be emotional asf

Get the golden years mug.its that group of kids who spends way to many nights writing up a bunch of captions, sidebars, and body copies for the entire school. they go around and take photos of all those memorable moments, like all dances and they even capture some of your ugliest faces, and then go and write about. they are stressed out non stop because deadline is always too close and they probably still have things to do. Forget about a social life cause you can't afford one when your entire grade depends on it. But at the end of the day these kids always help eachother out. At the end of the year you get to take home your work and all the memories while making it.
