Hamish hasn't got much of an education but will insist he knows more about a certain subject even if the person he is bullshitting to is a professional in this act or area . Hamish is lazy and spiteful.. often remembered as a spoilt, spiteful ,cocky smartass.. Hamish believes that he has the brains and smarts to outwit/ and out think anyone, his loneliness causes him to steal inexpensive junk , getting caught then doing serious time for it
