Examsmas

A holiday celebrated by university students in which any feelings of accomplishment or self-worth are ritualistically cleansed in preparation for a new semester.
The holiday commonly coincides with the exam schedules of various educational institutions. The link between the two is not yet understood.

Edexcel P1 Physics Exam

Well well well, the Edexcel P1 Physics Exam 2016 was a mystical exam paper sat by GCSE students who all felt the shattering pain and emotion of twenty or so hours of revision of Hershel and Ritter's experiments along with the Electromagnetic Spectrum, only to find that the first question to come up is about a pathetic petrol generator. Just to add petrol to the fire (see what I did there) Edexcel decide to throw in a cheeky induction question which in later life, is going to be about as useful as a waterproof bathsponge.

But you may be thinking, Edexcel surely you have stopped there, surely you cannot emotionally deplete us and make us feel like a single celled organism with no brain (I revised Biology well). Oh no! Just for good measure, Edexcel decide to take a steaming dump on our result, throwing in a question about Ions. Which is again about as useful as a submarine in the sahara.

Essentially, the Physics exam is the bastard lovechild of the Maths Exam, which Edexcel decide to sweetly position immediately after the Physics exam, to essentially ruin our lives. I would like to congratulate anybody who thought that they found this exam easy.

block exams

block exams; a modern-day method of torture developed by a panel of adults who believe that they know best. block exams consist of several subjects' exams in a row (maths, english, history etc.) with a break between each one. block exams last for anywhere between 2 days and 2 weeks, and usually cause mass stress and panic in students. social life is impossible during this time, as all student's free time will be spent trying to learn a whole semester's worth of work (of which half probably wont be needed anyway). most block exams start at the age of 16, although some mean-spirited schools will start at the young age of 15.
Teacher- ok students, in 2 weeks' time are BLOCK EXAMS
Students- *groan*

Friend- hey :) would you like to see a movie on saturday with a big group?

exam stress

The state of perpetual tension (both mental and physical) that occurs right before, and during exam week. It results in students exhibiting strange behaviours or actions.

It can be classified as, the realisation that procrastination and masturbation have ruined your academic life.

Due to exam stress, individuals are allowed to get a away with things they otherwise wouldn't, as long as they say "sorry, it's exam stress".
Student 1: Shit! Shit! Shit! my exam is tomorrow, I'm not ready!
Student 2: LOL, I finished mine two days ago!

*Student 1 develops insomnia and proceeds to burn down the library.*

Policeman: Why did you do such a heinous deed?
Student 1: Exam stress, sir!
Policeman: Oh, that's fine then. Here's $20 for your troubles.

Exactamundo

Exactly.

Conceivably derived from "exactamente," Spanish for "exactly."

It is used primarily by U.S. non-Spanish speakers. The Fonz, a hip irreverent character on the 50s TV show The Happy Days is responsible for some of the earliest recorded utterances though it's likely to have been in use before then.

The second half of the world "mundo," possibly results from mishearing exactamente and, in another context, mundo, "world" in Spanish. Interestingly the understood meaning has nothing to do with the meaning "world." Even so in Spanish it might translate as "exact world," though the gender of "exacta" renders the phrase grammatically correct.

bar exam

A typical right of passage, a cliche event that all would be lawyers must go through. Involves two months of unbelievably boring lectures, followed by spending the rest of the day studying in a law library or other similarly isolated and secluded environment. During this time, neuroses begin to surface such as increased nervousness, irritability, depression, despondency, etc... Behavioral defects also begin to arise such as exponentially increased drinking, smoking, nervous twitches, unwise relationship choices or sexual encounters (i.e. cheating), and possibly erratic, uncommon, or unorthodox behavior. Culminates in an extremely difficult two day exam, after which candidates must wait months to discover whether or not they actually passed.
"Man, what's gotten into that guy and that girl from the bar review course, all they do is make out in the law library while the rest of us are studying for the bar exam."
