Buckin Bungalow

A phrase first coined in MTV show Geordie Shore, a Buckin Bungalow is a spare room which is separate from the main building, where people go to engage in frivolous sexual activities.

Gaz: Just got out of the hot tub, now i'm gonna take her to the buckin bungalow.

James: everyone's in their bed, better go to the buckin bungalow.

Bucky Barnes

James Buchanan Barnes, called Bucky, is a fictional character from Marvel’s comics and movies. Bucky Barnes was born on March 10, 1917, in Brooklyn, NY. He spent his entire childhood at his best friend’s side, Steve Rogers, who would later become Captain America. In 1942, he was drafted into the US Army. A few years later, he fell off a train into a ravine during a mission and was presumed dead. In 2015, during Captain America: Winter Soldier, Bucky is revealed to be alive. He had been captured by the evil organization HYDRA and brainwashed to do their bidding, becoming a puppet of violence called The Winter Soldier. Luckily, Steve Rogers was able to help him escape HYDRA’s physical and mental bonds, and, eventually, Bucky was able to go back to living as a healthy and functioning part of society.

Bucky Barnes and Steve Rogers are the best! I love the Winter Soldier and Captain America!

Bucket of Muzzle Blast

Among artillerymen, a nonexistent item used to trick rookies. It is commonly used to send rookies on a wild goose chase. (Muzzle blast is the burst of smoke and fire that erupts from the muzzle when a shell is fired.)

Crabs in a Bucket

Used to describe a person (or subculture) that does everything in it's power to destroy the ambitions of those among them who wish to improve themselves.

It comes from the story of catching crabs in a bucket. When you catch a crab and place him in a bucket, the first thing he'll try to do is escape. Now, if you put two crabs in a bucket (hence the plural form of 'Crabs in a Bucket') and place them in there together, as soon as one tries to climb up out of the bucket the other will grab the escaping crab by the legs and try to escape itself, to which the process gets repeated to the point where NO crabs end up escaping.

Carl: "Isn't it a shame honey? How Johnny and Bobby are always constantly jabbing at (and insulting) eachother whenever they approach a group of girls, trying to make themselves look better than the other?"

Linda: "Exactly, they're like a bunch 'crabs in a bucket', they both end up as losers.
