Like the afore stated it was introduced by Nietzsche in his book Thus Spake Zarathustra to simplify of course the ubermensch in modern terms would be one who is self actualized and spreads his influence to those around him

orginally a word used in everyday german language. Translated it means purely "above". in its current, americanized context, it means something is above and beyond, and is usually used to exagerrate something. It was also used in SSX3, but that's different
