Scratch is a community for people to code, and make friends, and interact with each other, and is typically for people ages 8 to 16. It was created in May 2007 by the Massachusetts Institute of Technology. The link is scratch.mit.edu.

Scotchy Dene

A small woodland area in the Denton burn / Scotswood area. Local radgies and charvas can be found here at any time during the day. You will often find their bucket sets or stashed motorbikes which have been taxed from the local council estate. Other stashed items include 12gauges, drugs& nokia bricks. Dog walkers also frequent this area, especially ones with lurchers and greyhounds. Local radgies will also go lamping "doon the dene" on a nighttime so beware

A scratch disk is a temporary storage space used for editing and processing large files in software applications, like images or videos, to prevent overloading the main storage.

Scratcher

Someone who does not have a stable place to live nor does this person have a job because they are constantly getting kicked out of their home or fired from their job. A scratcher is always roaming the neighborhood searching for opportunistic crimes. They will steal your bike, burglarize your car, trespass and pee in your bushes.

This is the third time this year I have had this scratcher in my caseload.
