telecon

A shortened version of "teleconference" or "telephone conversation". Ususally spoken by corporate drones trying to sound cool. May be accompanied by a Microsoft Netmeeting or WebEx visual presentation made in PowerPoint.

Mitch: Jody, set up a telecon and WebEx with the team. We're going to pick some low-hanging fruit.
Jody: Ok, I'll shoot you an e-mail with the deets.

Tell It

Colloquial teen slang, originating from the eastern seaboard of Australia, specifically the New south wales peninsula. to 'tell it' is to activaly participate in the chosen conversation/context.

example 1(conversation):
cuz1-"hey cuz, i got roots last night"
cuz2-"tell it!"

example 2(context):
cuz1-"hey cuz, theres a party in ettalong tonight"
cuz2-"Should we tell it?"

Those fuckers who call you asking you to buy shit. They constantly call you telling you things like "please don't hang up the phone", "I'm calling you up on an item we sent you in the mail", "Hey would you like a subscription to <insert newspaper/magazine>".

These lovely individuals. are usually payed high, but work on commission, so they have to be good at what they do.

Telemarketers need to find better jobs and leave us the fuck alone.

"I have to tell you something" moment

The scene in movies and tv shows when one person is about to tell another person something, but the other person interrupts and says something that convinces the first person not to say anything. The other person usually finds out the truth anyway. This scene is being over used in tv shows and chick flicks

The classic "I have to tell you something" moment

Girl: (thinking) I don't want to go out with this guy, he's weird! I'm gonna break up with him.

Guy:hey how are you?

Girl:I have to tell you something.

Guy:me too... My aunt just died after a long, painful battle with cancer and her dying wish was for me to give you her priceless diamond ring. So what were you gonna tell me?

Girl:Uhhh... (in fake voice) I just wanted to say I'm so excited were going out yaayyy...
