Coffin Chaser

someone ( typically a family member ) who turns up out of the blue when they hear a relative is dying & start pretending to be their best friend, stealing possessions, getting wills changed, misdirecting and confusing other relatives by starting arguments, acting aggressively and hiding information from other equally as important people to the soon to be deceased.

As soon as Aunty Mo got her diagnosis, the coffin chasers sprung straight into action! It was textbook! following their tried & tested methodology to ensure they got as much as they could - they hadn’t seen Mo in years - but when you have their eyes on the prize it’s hard to stop a real coffin chaser - you can be sure a true coffin chaser will always win the day.
