Someone who intentionally misrepresents what you said, builds the worst-possible strawman, then argues against that fake version like they just won the debate.
They know exactly what you meant.
They just want the cheap W and the moral high ground.

Origin:
“Mis” (misrepresent) + “-izzy” (from “dizzy” — because they spin reality until everyone else is dizzy).

Examples:
“so you’re saying we should…” (proceeds to bring up holocaust)
The guy that quotes you verbatim but adds paraphrases in brackets to change the meaning
“Chat’s full of filthy mizzies tonight.”
“Classic mizzy move: I said ‘some women lie about relationships’, he heard ‘all women are liars’.”
"If you can't tell the difference between customers in a restaurant not wanting to be filmed vs street scammers not wanting to be filmed, you're just being a high tier mizzy at this point."
