A scapegoat mantra chanted by ultra-conservatives and the news media whenever a violent incident occurs in the United States
Just one of many forms of Americans shrugging off accountability.

Damn dude, did you see the news? Kyle got arrested for beating up an old woman at the Waffle House. His alcoholic mom just got interviewed by the local news. She was blaming Marilyn Manson and Minecraft, on that whole "video games cause violence" tangent. When is she going to wake up and see that her son has always been an asshole and she's had 27 years to do something about it?

From the movie "the interview." Seth Rogan's character misunderstands his friend's (played by James Franco) phrase "they hate us cause they ain't us." The phrase is then repeated many times throughout the movie to sound like "they hate us cause they anus"

An ultra-popular FPS series that (in the minds of some) is so addictive, that it can often lead to many cases of negligence towards loved ones. This often results in divorces - which is ironic, considering that the abbreviation for the Call of Duty series is 'CoD' - the same as 'Cause of Divorce'.
Gamer 1: "Hey, want to play some cee-oh-dee?
Gamer 2: "Sorry, but if I played that game again, the missus would murder me to hell."
That scene demonstrates the obscenely powerful, lasting effect of Cause of Divorce (Call of Duty).

Literally the worst insult in all the cosmos insults like "ur mom gay" or "ur grandpap a trap" literally cannot compare to this. When this insult is said, it's receiver is no longer worthy of life nor death. He is completely erased from existence.
