A Battery Electric Vehicle (BEV) is a type of electric vehicle that runs solely on electricity stored in its battery, with no internal combustion engine. BEVs are known for producing zero emissions and are charged through external power sources like charging stations

There are three types of EVs. Some run exclusively on battery power, while others combine battery and gas power.

- Fully battery-powered electric vehicles (EVs or BEVs)
- Hybrid electric vehicles (HEVs)
- Plug-in hybrid electric vehicles (PHEVs)

Subaru has raised their global electrification sales target to be 50% BEVs by 2030.

ICE-BEV Boundary

The extremely disruptive and messy period encompassing the transition from the era of the internal combustion engine ("ICE") and all of its associated technologies, industries, jobs, etc., to the Elon Musk inspired era of the battery electric vehicle ("BEV"). This period will be designated by future archaeologists to span the 15-year period from 2020 to 2035, when the world weaned itself from petroleum, graduated from the fossil fuel economy, and entered its electric future. Also known as "Tesla Time."

Of those who lived through the ICE-BEV Boundary, the winners were comprised of those who anticipated the change and seized the opportunities.

Bev is the short-hand for beverage, which is obviously means a drink. A drink consists of liquid and what happens if you slowly pour out liquid. It drips. And it drops. Bev is a synonym for drip which is a common term used to describe someone.
