The toll you pay by nodding, mm-hmming, and pretending to follow an endless monologue from a talkative partner so you can withdraw some benefits later. Often paid at dinner, in the car, or while they debrief you on an entire season of a show you’ve never seen.

"Yapping" denotes a high-pitched, incessant, and rapid emission of vocal sounds, often from annoying humans, echoing in an unrelenting, energetic manner, sometimes accompanied by an enthusiastic or impatient undertone.
Person 1: Hey!!! did you know that Sea urchins, echinoderms found worldwide, boast spiky spherical bodies. They lack eyes but have a strong sense of touch, vital for marine ecosystem balance by regulating algae growth!!! 🗣️
Person 2: Bro stop yapping!! What are you 100% Yappanese?

Used by mostly middle schoolers, primarily ones who have fallen victim to the "sigma" male, Andrew Tate, and Ohio trends as a counter-argument for someone promoting an opposing topic. (i.e. LGBT rights, Atheism etc.)
It is commonly used as a last resort whenever these people run out of valid arguments.
