shoddy

An adjective used to describe things negatively...such as a poorly manufactured car. Not to be confused with shotty.

meaning:
1. "made with poor craftsmanship or with low quality materials"
2. "rundown and shabby"
3. "poorly or dishonestly executed (badly done)"

The term comes from way back in the day to describe making yarn out of scraps of clothing or low-grade wool, but is now used to refer to any number of things that are low quality, dishonest, or cheaply made.

1. "I just got my car back from the mechanic last week and that jalopy already broke down again...what a shoddy piece of crap."

or

2. "those mechanics did a shoddy job fixing my car."

Shoddy Shot

A shot of alcohol using a weak alcohol not intended for shots Eg. Beer not vodka, Cruisers not spirits etc. Shoddy is known to mean Bad, useless or crappy.

"hit us with a shot"
"but we dont have no Vodka"
"well just make a shoddy shot"

Scowden style

The term used describe a (minimum) six-course meal that must include the following: pre-dinner cocktails, bottle of wine, a selection of at least three appetizers, a bottle of wine, a salad course, a bottle of wine, entrees, a bottle of wine, desserts, a bottle of desert wine/cognac, ending with an espresso or coffee.

At the end of each course, it is imperative that one leaves a small portion on the plate while saying "its for the gods."

Dude...we're seriously not going to have coffee after dessert? WTF, I thought you were all about doing it up "Scowden style."
