Fuzzy Political Theory

A political theory that replaces sharp ideological boundaries (left/right, liberal/conservative, socialist/capitalist) with continuous spectra. Political positions are matters of degree. A party might be 0.6 socialist, 0.4 liberal. Policy preferences are fuzzy sets (e.g., “more or less free markets”). Fuzzy Political Theory helps analyze coalition politics, centrism, and hybrid regimes without forcing square pegs into round holes.
Example: “Fuzzy Political Theory described the candidate as 0.7 populist, 0.3 technocrat, and 0.5 nationalist—no neat label, but a fuzzy profile that matched voters.”

Fuzzy Politics

Actual political behavior that avoids crisp categories, using terms like “sort of left,” “mostly conservative,” “leans toward socialism.” Politicians shift positions by degree, not binary flip-flops. Voters have partial identification with parties. Fuzzy Politics is normal, not indecisive.

Example: “Her fuzzy politics meant she voted 0.6 Democratic, 0.4 Green—not confused, just nuanced.”

Capital: A Critique of Political Economy

A book written by Karl Marx and published in 1867 that deals with the development of capitalism and its problems. It is generally highly admired for its foresight of how capitalism would eventually develop over time.

Note that Capital: A Critique of Political Economy is purely criticizing the status quo, predicting its development and pinpointing its problems, while the Manifesto of the Communist Party (or simply Communist Manifesto) offers possible solutions to these problems.
'Hey, I just read Capital: A Critique of Political Economy by Karl Marx. And I now believe that the only way to create a fair society is by overthrowing the bourgeoisie.'

Instant Gratification Policing

When law enforcement officers unreasonably require that their commands be followed immediately and without hesitation. Almost all police abuse and killings stem from this inability to be patient, deescalate, and just listen to people first.
Instant Gratification Policing can happen when police say: "Turn around!" or "Put your hands behind your back!" or "Get on your knees!"

Start Their Political Career

To forcefully have relations with an unwilling participant. Bonus points if they're underage.
Did you hear that Ron got caught trying to start their political career at the bar last night?

Because it's politically inconvenient for me

Yeah, I'll get right on that. I'm sure this is the necessary sacrifice. I mean it's obvious right? Because this would solve... Wait... Which of MY problems would that solve? Is it none? Who's problems would it solve? Yours!? Are you solving any of my problems? What problem of MINE would that solve? Ask yourself that.
Jeep Jorp (Not A Doctor) "You just HAVE to sacrifice a part of yourself! If you don't, you'll DIE!"

Hym "Oh yeah? Which part?"

Jeep Jorp "Ummm.... This... One?"

Hym "Why?"

Deep Dorp "Because it's politically inconvenient for me- Er, Wait... Because YOU need to! Or you'll die!"

Hym "What is some kind of phone ghost going to eat me? Who would that help more? Me or you?"

Neep Norp "Me! Er... You see... If you give up on your dreams... I can continue swindle bible dorks and sell them to my conservative business-owner friends- I mean... Jesus! Jesus NEEDS you... To let me... Take things from you... So I can keep pretending... To be an extra-special guy- Er, wait, no! GAWD... Gave Samson magic hair... And now Samson... Is like a metaphor for doing whatever I generally want people to do... So, YOU need to do what I want... So YOU... Will get magic hair..."

Hym "O... K... Are you God in this metaphor?"

Geep Gorp "Um... No? But when God... Told Abraham... To Sacrifice Issac... He said HE wants YOU to give up on your dreams... And he KNEW you would do it... In the Future... So- And that's why he told Abraham not to kill Issac... So, if you don't do it... Issac will die... In the Past... That's the sacrifice... He took... Instead of a guys child... You- It'll preserve the time-line... Yes. You have to do it because God's time magic will make a past-guy re-sacrifice his kid and then you get magic hair... Yeah..."

Hym "Ok..."

How to fix the political climate

Defend sexual predators. Go on their podcasts and cry like a bitch because you know they are doing what they are doing.
Hym "That's how to fix the political climate according to Dr. K."

Dragon Age is ALWAYS political

Dragon Age 1 is about racism. The sub plot revolves the oppression of the elves by the humans.
Dragon Age 2 is about colonialism and religious zealotry. Kirkwall takes in the Qunari leader and he tries to take over the country because the fact that they don't adhere to the Qun disgusts him.
Dragon Age 3 is about class warfare. The conflict between the overclass (The Templars) and the underclass (The Mages)
Hym "Dragon Age is ALWAYS political. I don't know what Dragon Age 4 is about but I don't know why you would buy a game that is always political and then expect the points of contention of out modern politic to be absent from the game."
