A scenester is someone who does their hair in some pretty cool ways, dresses in tight clothes, and participates in the local music scene, either by being in a band, supporting a band, or going to local shows a lot. They have respect for others and tend to be really nice people, as opposed to scene kids, who just try their hardest to be amazing, but inevitably fail.
"Hey guys! Let's gather up the other scenesters and head over to that local band's show tomorrow night! I love seeing a good show." "Yeah, but... Hopefully no scene kids will be there..."

Get the Scenester mug.1. An emo clone in denial. The term was created by emo clones who were embarassed and tired of being called "emo." There is absolutely no difference between emo clones and scene kids except those refering to themselves as "scene kids" tend to be older; emo trendies who are old enough to drive.

I am not emo! Even though I look and act like every other emo clone in the world, I am a scene kid! See my driver's license?

Get the scene whores mug.okay, I usually want to make my definitions pretty unbiased (if that's even a word). In the case of the word scene, though, I do not feel like I am being biased when I define it the way I do because I feel like being scene is, overall, a pretty negative thing. Anyway...
Scenester: A person who is scene, obviously. The basic goal of a scenester is to be non-conformist, and in order to do that, they conform to the scene style. In other words, they are a complete and utter poser. Typical scene style and behavior consists of:
-short, choppy, black hair (this is a must for males and females), often with a stripe or chunk of an unnatural color or bleach.
-band shirts, generally emo bands
-skinny jeans for girls, girls jeans for guys
-Converses or Vans
-bright colors paired with black
-polka dots
-dinosaurs, robots, or other kiddyish fantasy-type ideas
-girly ribbons for girls
-Myspace account, with tons of pouty pictures at weird angles
-typing (and often talking) with weird phrases, like HARDXCORE, KTHNXBAI, and others
The number one trick to being scene, though, is to deny that you are scene, because even though you know you are, you're supposed to think labels are for soup cans.

Scenester: Hey, look at my new polka-dot dinosaur t-shirt and hair that I cut myself last night while blindfolded! I am so hardxcore.
Normal Person: You're such a scene poser, go a away.
Scenester: I am SO not! Besides, labels are for soup cans. kthnxbai.

"scene kid" - i am a scene kid, i am so different from everyone.
REALITY-Uhmm...even though there are thousands of so called "scene kids" out there.....uhmmm..yea you are SOO TOTALLY YOUR OWN INDIVIDUAL SCENE KID.....(talk about lame).. hahaha that is exactly my point
They think they know music, they dress like "THE REAL SCENE KIDS WHO ARE IN BANDS," they go to concerts, which is cool i guess, but seriously, jumping around and moshing. uhmmmm....no comment..
basically scene kids are "posers" .....
(VERY IMPORTANT NOTE FOR EVERYONE READING!!!!) - yea uhmm ...."scene kids" know where the "scene is"....hehehehe.....ummm....no....let me explain....SCENE KIDS ARE "AT THE SCENE" yes..BUT -"THEY ARE NOT THE SCENE AT THE SCENE." hehehe dumb bitchfarts....

I AM A SCENE KID BECAUSE I'M IN A BAND....BASICALLY "MY BAND" IS THE SCENE.....(i play at the Catalyst, Brittanica, and various concerts and restaurants)......and my band basically hates the so called "scene kids" who dress up to look DIFFERENT or look like how their fav band dresses up.....they have no right to act "scene"

dumb scene kids who don't have a right to say they are "scene"....most don't even know music or play an instrument and most aren't in a band. you are a scene kid if you are in a band. we "scene kids" are adored by "scenebitches" who like to go to our bands shows...we are the scene......if you are in a band that is actually good and you see a typical "scene kid," just laugh at them for their ignorance and conceit, for they have no bragging rights except being fags and they think they are in a "band" that plays "good music" which in reality they are posers. us real "scene kids" (those of us in a real band that compose, write, and knows good music) should unite together and diminish the little "scenebitches" and stop their conceited trend...."scene kids will be diminished" -Flyleaf
