Hyphen-whore

One who, when writing, has the habit of hyphenating words that do not require hyphenation.

Jack is such a hyphen-whore. I proofread the first paragraph of his paper and found words like "lack-luster", "fully-blown", and "non-existent".

The use of the word "fucking" to divide a multisyllabic word in place of the hyphen (-) punctuation mark to express emphasis or subdued exclamation.

Eff hyphen as punctuation: "I abso-fucking-lutely agree." or "You are a-fucking-mazing." or "He is a huge lia-fucking-bility."

twitter-hyped

When someone or something only gets success or recognition on twitter but outside of the app, the hype is not even closely matched. Can be synonymous with fraudulence in terms of truthful relevancy.

"Why Dua Lipa can't get anumber one album or song? They love her so much on twitter. She's so talented and i always see positive viral tweets about her and her perfomances?"

"Oh. It's cus she twitter-hyped"

HyPhEdELLiC

Taken from the word "hyphy", yet has a completely different meaning. Hyphedellic is when something is so awesome there is no word to describe for it. The term is more of a feminem word, but anyone can use it.

hyphenated america

actually both posts for this word are incorrect. Although you mean very well there isn't a caucasian-American. A hyphenated American is someone who is a citizen but was born in another country or can trace their origin back to that county.

Tatiana was born here in the United States. Her mother was born in Africa. Tatiana is African-American. This is a hyphenated american. Which makes up hyphenated america

Hyphen Speak

The language of teenage white girls with an IQ below room temperature. This is when people end their sentences with a hyphen (a dash) or say the phrase "I-" by itself. This was popularized around the time "Sis I-" and "And I oop-" got attention. It is usually linked with VSCO girls, Gacha kids, Roblox Aesthetics, Twitter stans, and many other annoying types of people online. 9 times out of 10, the people who do this are usually sensitive, stan some sort of creator, idolize the LGBTQ+ community, are in the LGBTQ+ community itself, or are on the left-wing (Basically your average Twitter user). This quickly sparked memes making fun of this. One of the most popular examples is "Bitches be like 'I- I- You- Wow I-'." Along with memes, it has also started many Discord servers and communities against Hyphen Speak, some of which I am in myself.

Jason: I will tear you apart limb from limb if you continue doing that. You have been using hyphen speak for the last year and everyone hates you for it.
