Mod (noun):
A colloquial term used as a shorthand
reference to individuals who have ancestry from more than one racial group. In this context, “Mod” is synonymous with terms like multiracial or mixed-race. Because identity language can be personal and context-dependent, it is
important to
recognize that not everyone with a mixed racial background may choose to use or identify with this term.
1. “Jordan identifies as Mod, embracing the rich tapestry of cultures in his family background.”
2. “The
community center hosted a panel discussion featuring Mod voices sharing their experiences of navigating multiple cultural identities.”
