University of Second Choice

University of Southern California. Because a large amount of the student body wanted to attend other, more prestigious universities (especially UCLA) and instead had to settle for USC because of its lower academic standards.

I wanted to go to Stanford, Berkeley or UCLA, but I didn't get into any of those so I'll be attending the University of Second Choice.

pro-choice

a political view that believes that abortion should continue to be legal and accessible. Pro-choice is not necessarily pro-abortion, but merely being in support of a woman's having the option available. People who follow this view would not necessarily opt for abortion themselves, but do not wish to deny others the option.

Pro-choice is not an antithesis to pro-life; while the pro-life view would force women to give birth, pro-choice would not force them to abort.

Natural Choice

A brand of delicious dog food made by Nutro. It is a green package that depicts a lhasa apso on the front, so naturally it is good. The food comes in pellet form, but they also make tasty chops. It was awarded the top pet store dog food. It's the obvious choice for someone looking to buy a nice food for their dog. It's also especially good to feed to dogs named Rocky.

I just finished feeding Nurto's Natural Choice dog food to my dog, Rocky.

Hobson's choice

A choice between an alternative that is awful and one that is unacceptable. Usually defined as "no choice at all," since one of the choices is likely to be totally unacceptable (death, starvation, death of a loved one held hostage, insolvency).

A person whose relatives have been taken hostage is faced with the Hobson's choice of rewarding someone who attacked his family, and having his relatives killed because of decisions he made.
