Latest action movie craze meant make the viewer feel "in the moment".
Also attributed to big budgets spent on fancy props and trinkets none of which matter since you can't see a damn thing thats going on.

Quantum Of Solace is a good example of shaky camera syndrome.

When an area is near security camera(s) but isn't seen by any cameras.

"Did the security cameras get the attack on tape?"
"No, it happened in a camera shadow."

Someone on TV (knowingly) who acts like a complete douche bag asshole for the sole purpose of gaining attention for themselves.

Did you see that camera douche on "True Life?" You know he was just acting that way because of the cameras.
