bridge pinch

Similar to face palm, bridge pinch is the act of pinching the bridge of your nose with your middle finger and thumb in exasperation.

Waiter: "Our special tonight is the grouper sandwich."
Girl: "What is in it?"
Waiter: "Lettuce, tomato, various seasonings.."
Girl: "No, I mean...what makes it a grouper? Do I have to share it?"
Waiter: ....
Waiter: *bridge pinch*

puff-piece

A newspaper article or mention in a television or radio show praising a product/service/individual, usually sponsored or written by the manufacturer or seller of the product/service. Always downplays failures and competitors and exaggerates and hypes up the plus points.

That article was clearly a puff-piece! We shouldn't give it much weight in our decision.

Sometimes I pirlo when I'm really sad.

When you're sad, it's okay to pirlo and let it all out.

When I peel onions, I always pirlo.
