Specifically an old person farting because it sounds like someone making a grumpy noise. Can be used to describe any exertion of air from the anal cavity in a comical *making fun of* manner.

My dog Tucker likes to grumblesnark at 5:00 am and it annoys the fuck out of me - but it’s so cute I can’t get mad.
