Amber used to be a word used for beautiful and down to earth women, but now after everything that has happened with Johnny Depp people have been using as the name for abusive people. Akin to another name, calling entitled and racist woman a Karen. While Amber is more of a gender-neutral term, it is still used the same way people use Karen.
