Soft Racist

Someone whom makes racist statements or remarks amongst their own kind (or family; friends), never in the presence of those the slurs would clearly offend. In some cases the offending party may actually have some friends (even family) of color, etc. but they never talk or act that way in front of them.

1. The grandparents and mom at Thanksgiving dinner talking about how the coloreds are ruining everything. Later my mom expresses her excitement at going shopping with Kathy, her black friend from work, on Black Friday.

2. The Coloreds are ruining this country, stealing everything they can get their hands on... I can't wait to go shopping with Letoya later this weekend!

3. Jon is a soft racist infront of his kids, and only his kids. I wonder how they'll turn out.
