A bombed out house in a war zone cannot be said to simultaneously taken by the enemy and also destroyed, however everything owned by violent third world dictator X is destroyed even on a normal day and it is impossible to "take" a house reduced to toothpicks. Thus you have Pavlov's House.
Yuri's house was in the line of the advance last night. The occupiers say they hold his house but it had to be shoveled into a bucket. I call it "Pavlov's House" now.

Get the Pavlov's House mug.Paved the way is a metaphor for how an individual or group has paved the way for their successors through hard work. This refers to the result of a difficult achievement, getting an award that has never been printed by others before but thanks to hard work it becomes printed in history and opens access for successors to be easier to achieve.

Get the Pavlova Cookie mug.Paver Donut (Pastry):
A donut with a hole in it is called a paver or ring donut. It is nicknamed a paver because it looks like a concrete paver donut which, protects sprinkler heads from movers, edgers or vehicular damage.
A "paver" is made from dough, usually fried, and can be glazed or decorated.
A paver donut is of the edible variety that can be bought from a donut (or doughnut) store or grocer.
The ring (hole) is cut out to allow for proper cooking so that an even temperature is achieved. Kind of in the same way that bagels are also made with holes except the way in which the holes are made.
A paver is usually referring to a glazed donut but, it doesn't have to be glazed. It's just the most common.
Pavers is plural for multiple donuts of this variety.

Get the Pavanish mug.The subtle art of conditioning someone — intentionally or not — to associate a specific action, word, or situation with a particular feeling, craving, or behavior. Inspired by the OG behaviorist Ivan Pavlov and his famously drooling dogs, Pavloving is basically psychological sorcery in everyday life.
“I gave him a glass of water every time we met — now the dude gets thirsty just seeing me. That’s premium Pavloving.”
“Text her ‘good morning’ daily and soon enough, she’ll wake up expecting it. Classic Pavloving.”
“He plays that one song every time we drive — now I’m Pavloved into missing him when it plays elsewhere. Ugh.”
