The Whole 8.9 Yards

Refering to the act of doing everything with a partner related to sex (foreplay, oral, etc.) up to and stopping short of penile insertion.

Alluding to the colloquial phrase "The whole nine yards", but stopping about 3.5 inches short of going all the way.

whole nine yards

Does not come from military or football. It relates to the clothing industry. It is a term that tailors have used since the 1900's for denoting the extent that one wishes to invest in a custom-made suit. It takes exactly nine square yards of material to create a man's three-piece suit. If an individual desires a suit that is tailored to the "hilt" (double lined, etc.), he would request that the tailor should proceed with "the whole nine yards." Anything shy of nine yards would mean various alterations. This would lessen the overall quality of the suit.

yardstrip

An act of hazing in which the victim is grabbed, pulled onto a lawn, pinned down, and nuded. Best done at night, but always fun when lots of traffic is passing. Can take as many as six perpetrators, depending on how much the victim fights.

Dude, we totally yardstripped Winthrop last night, but we had to run when the neighbors called the cops.
