Idiot's Gambit

A counterargument strategy often used as an attempt to argue against a claim backed by data by suggesting, without evidence, that the source of the data can't be trusted, often seen in social media arguments.
Person 1: "Give me one good reason not to stick this fork in that outlet"
Person 2: "Because the CDC reports a 94% death rate for people who do"
Person 1: "The CDC is part of the government and you can't trust the government"
Person 1: "Ah. I see you have chosen' the Idiot's Gambit. Then proceed. It's probably for the best"

Adobe Flash Gambit

A seemingly unbounded temporal freeze in the time continuum during a game played using Adobe Flash resulting in discomfort, irritability, and side line research of competitors of the player experiencing this time conundrum. If one waits long enough, the temporal freeze will dislodge itself resulting in the exile of one player and a cornucopia of confetti for the play that had the fortitude and steely resolve to withstand the frustration of not being able to participate in the chess version of the Hunger Games.
1. Alright, double those points! He's not moving? Adobe Flash Gambit land? Oh man, Caparot1 is in the lead. Lets do some research.

Pope Gambit

An attempt to make oneself appear squeaky clean, carried to such extremes of austerity or public self-righteousness that this person has just gotta be hiding something.
Jerry's pretending he doesn't feel attracted to Ralph, and going about talking about cleanliness of mind and body as he attends meetings of this group of homophobic God-botherers. He's obviously playing the Pope Gambit.

Pants Gambit

When the subject removes his or her pants, in place of a logical or rhetorical response to an argument. More often then not, this seems to result in a 'win'.
Don't bother bringing it up with Robert, he'll just go for the pants gambit.

Bradbury gambit

Named for Steven Bradbury's 2002 winter olympic speedskating gold medal victory, simply by being the last mf standing. The fine art of letting the rest of the field dnf themselves or near enough that they are no longer a threat. While you skate on through to nab the EZ Clap gg's.
Perp1: This is a fuckin' fast field, and our car is toast after the last heat.
Perp2: Their rides are just as fried, if I stay out of trouble I could Bradbury gambit and podium, they are driving like maniacs out there.
