When you accidentally spoil something for someone and then attempt to make it up by yelling out "Spoiler alert!"
It will nonetheless piss someone off because either a) you're just rubbing it in that you spoiled the ending to an amazing movie/book/show, or b) they weren't really paying attention before and would have missed the spoiler, but because you had called attention to it, now they are aware they have been spoiled.

Kris: "So I'm reading this Harry Potter book and so far I don't like that Snape fellow."
Melissa: "Yeah I really hated Snape in the 6th book when he killed Dumbledore but everything worked out in the end."
Kris: "Ye- Wait. Snape KILLS Dumbledore?!"
Melissa: "Er, ah, um, SPOILER ALERT!!!1"
Paul: "Wow, Melissa, way to pull a post-facto spoiler alert."
Kris: "It will never be the same!" *sobs*

Someone (usually a celebrity), who drops spoilers and hints to their fanbase without people realising they were being spoiled. Only in hindsight, it becomes clear that placement of objects, melodies hummed etc. were spoilers. A true spoiler king.

Built on the same model as "white lie", a white spoiler is either:
- a spoiler of no (serious) consequences
- a spoiler dropped by accident
- a spoiler of no (serious) consequences
- a spoiler dropped by accident
A: "Did she just spoil the entire film?"
B: "No, don't worry. It's just white spoiler. She only told you what happens in the first two minutes of the movie."
or
A: "Jimmy! You just told me how the story ends!"
B: "Oops… Sorry. White spoiler. It just came out."

This phrase is used to block potential spoilers in the YouTube mobile app comments. As the first comment is automatically displayed, writing "Spoiler blocker" makes people like that comment and ultimately makes "Spoiler blocker" the first and top comment to be displayed and hence preventing potential spoilers in videos.

*Sees a Jarno Opmeer PSGL video*
*Unintentionally looks at the comments*
*Video doesn't gets spoiled as the first comment is Spoiler blocker*

An unwritten rule which involves people telling others NOT to spoil the events which would go on in either a movie, TV show, video game or anything else that entertains a person. It soon became really popular in social media through memes, posts, videos & etc.
It was a no spoiler rule which prompted my refusal to watch"Avengers: Endgame" simply because I feared people would cause problems if I was to break it.
