reality television

A mutated bread of documentry television that was once inovative, but today is a faux depiction of life, with scripted lines, and ignorant participants. Shows are typically pumped with drama, alcohol and sex. Reality tv is partially responsable for the downfall of American society.
The MTV show "the Real World" is a prime example of reality television. This show places 7 random strangers in a house in order to depict "reality". The show focuses on the housemates' adventures at parties, the sexual escapades they participate in, and their drunken rage.

television

Once envisioned to be the replacement for books and a useful educational tool. Now it is simply a useful method for the government to send subliminal messages and propganda to the masses, and for businesspeople to brainwash said masses into buting their low-quality products.
And it is quite surprising and scary that there are millions of people out there who ACTUALLY buy the products aired on late-night television commercials.

Television

American band formed in 1973 in New York during the birth of punk and having a major impact on punk, new wave and alternative music with their first album titled "Marquee Moon" in 1977. Their sound was based around minimalism, and the raw sound of garage rock of the 60's, a far cry from what may be considered "punk" today. While they may be labeled a protopunk band, their influence comes in at a later date than other bands under such label.

televisionertia

1) Continuing to watch the same channel because you can't find the remote and are too lazy to manually change the channel.

2) Continuing to watch a show that you don't really enjoy, just because you always have.
EXAMPLE 1: I didn't plan to watch that show, but I had watched the one before it and televisionertia set in.

EXAMPLE 2: I didn't even like "Heroes" that much in its first season but I can't stop watching - it's a classic case of televisionertia!
