The Toss

when you don't want to go to class but you are supposed to hand in an assignment. instead of going to class and trying to sneak out afterwards you simply open the door and "toss" your assignment in, hoping someone will hand it in for you. Most people wonder why you wouldn't just ask your friend in the class to hand it in but anyone who is willing to perform the toss revels in the toss glory. This also works when you don't know anyone in your class.

Guy 1: "gay, i don't want to go to math, but i have to hand in my 30 questions"
Guy 2: "just pull the toss"
Guy 1: "true, then we'll go to pizza hut"

An idiom meaning to stubbornly quibble over something inconsequential, irrelevant, minor or off-topic. A cavilling dispute.

Another way of saying "to argue for the sake of it".

Unfortunately the meeting didn't go well. Eric starting getting pedantic, and decided to argue the toss over a trivial detail of the plan.

Toss the mop

1) When one finds petty amusement in the pointless destruction of mundane objects, typically while intoxicated.

2) Drunkenly engaging in an act of absurd recklessness in order to progress and amplify the recreational activities of the night.

Variations:

"Mop tosser" - one who destroys things while intoxicated
"Mop toss" - an event in which many objects are destroyed. Similar to a "shit show"

"Yo bro, me and Keith got hammered Wednesday and thought it was a good idea to toss the mop. Campus po almost caught us, but we ducked into 7-11 to grab some teriyaki jerky.
