Textpat

The "Textpat" was coined by famous Expat in the Philippines YouTuber Sunshine Shoulders to describe a person who dreams of going to the Philippines but instead lives through videos about the Philippines and only has LDR's(Long distance relationships with a Filipina usually) and only texts them and sends them money inflating the dating market for the actual expat that travels to the Philippines. One Textpat according to sunshine shoulders has been in a 28 year long, long distance relationship.

Ray only texts his girlfriend and never visits her in the Philippines and never will, he is just a textpat.

a friendly, romantic, sexual or intimate relationship, either brief or long-term, between two people whereby text messaging is utilized as the primary form of communication throughout, oftentimes due to one person's unwillingness and inability to express their feelings, unless at an impersonal level where senses, details and answers to questions and/or subject matter are intentionally avoided at the expense of disregarding and neglecting the need for sharing, giving, conveying a complete, forthright and respectful reply by other means of technology or face-to-face discussion.

My best friend ended the textationship with his girlfriend because of the many hours he was expected to spend engaging in arguments and discussion through text each day.

textapated

When you fail to look at your phone (due to sleeping, being occupied, being intoxicated, etc.) for a long time and the number of text messages you receive backs up greatly from your lack of response. This results in spending a long time answering your texts.

"Dude, did you get my message?"
"Nah, man. I passed out last night and now I'm super textapated."

Textration

The feeling of frustration one gets when they are texting someone and the other person doesn't reply fast enough. Often occurs after more than five to ten minutes of waiting for their reply

Common situation of textration:

(Over text)

Guy: "Hey whats up?"

Girl: "Hey nothing really, you?"

Guy: "Just got home. Wanna hang out later?"

Girl: "Yeah sure, when?"

Guy: "Around 5? Is that good?"

(After 30 minutes of waiting for the reply, the frustration has set in)

(Thinking) Guy: "Come on answer back.."

10 more minutes

Girl: "Sure, 5 o'clock is good."

(Thinking) Guy: "FINALLY!!"

one who is native to or has lived primarily within the political boundaries of the Republic of Texas (a.k.a. State of Texas) and has subsequently emigrated to another state or country

Textlation

When you misunderstand a point someone is trying to convey through an all text medium (cell phones, internet chatting, etc.) because you are unable to see their body language, or hear the fluctuations in the tone of their voice.

I messaged her saying I was going to kill her, but my sarcasm was lost in textlation. Now I have been arrested for threatening her life.
