saxons

A Germanic tribe from the regions of Saxony, Lower Saxony, Saxony-Anhalt, Schleswig-Holstiein, North-Rhine Westphalia and part of the Netherlands. Conquered Brittain at the end of Roman rule. The Saxons in Brittain became known as Anglo-Saxons, and ruled for several centuries before being conquered by the Normans. The words "saxon" and "Anglo-Saxon" are used today as buzzwords by hate groups who consider themselves to be of pure, Anglo-Saxon blood, and therefore superior to all other races, whom they term "mud races" or "mud people." Regardless of the fact that the original Saxons seemed to have no qualms about marrying into the indigenous population, as well as the successive waves of conquerors, and indeed seemed to have no idea of race.
The Legend of King Arthur was about the struggle of the old, Celtic Brittain against the Saxons.

Anglo-Saxon Saxaphone

A meaningless term, normally used by morons, idiots, dimwits and dorks, to refer to Anglo-Saxons, revealing a lack of intelligence and mental creativity in the person who says it. Initially used as a term in the mid to late 1980s by Kempke when his English teacher was discussing Anglo-Saxons, wherefor he turned to Skoudas and said laughingly, "Anglo-Saxon Saxaphone! Anglo-Saxon Saxaphone!"
Kempke, laughing, and with a red face, turned his half-hearted attention away from the teacher to face Skuodas and in a hardly concealed voice, whispered loudly, "Anglo-Saxon saxaphone! Anglo-Saxon saxaphone!"

Vote Saxon

The saying "vote saxon" came from the popular TV show Doctor Who, where an enemy called the Master uses a false identity and subliminal messages to become prime minister of Britain before launching the Earth into chaos with an attack he himself planned. "Vote Saxon" is a term that should be used to refer to voting or being in favor of something without really knowing much about it, and usually has a negative connotation.
