Ghetto in this sense is about conduct, not identity. Any person of any background can act ghetto, and plenty do. The common thread is choosing chaos, retaliation, or destruction over accountability and progress.

An unsophisticated black man with absolutely no class whatsoever. A black man that will wear

sneakers and a twisted hat to a black tie event. They find it impossible to speak intelligently,

will always speak in ebonics and use past tenses, no matter the subject of conversation. You

can take the man out of the ghetto, but you can never take the ghetto out of the man.
