"gratuitous icon post" or when you create a new journal entry in your Livejournal, blurty, etc that just contains a new icon/avatar you made and want to flaunt.
This is a GIP! I made this icon in Paint Shop Pro 7, it's animated and transparent.

Gip; (verb); to gip out. when you have overdone it on a particularly heavy night, usually on substances other than, or in addition to alcohol. gipping can include such activities as vomiting, falling unconscious, falling down stairs, blabbering incoherent bollocks, or climbing on in to a nearby sleeping bag (or GIP-SACK). once in a gip-sack, gippers do not usually emerge until they have stopped being ill, and the white cycle is over for another day.
wee bobby white man bombed a sly point 4 and couldnt hack it one bit. things got a bit too much and he started boking all over the coffee table and then got staight in the classic brown gippin sack. here, he gipped for a straight 6 hours: 2 hours sleeping, 1 hour vomiting, 45 minutes crying, 2 hours shaking and sweating, and 15 minutes defending his gip in a violent argument with everyone in the house. commonly known as GIP-DENIAL.
