El Spunko

'El Spunko' is the name of a Mexican-era California masked villan and master 'swordsman'. (using 'swordsmen' in the widedest meaning possible), who resides in the quaint, rowing village, of Marlow.
He prowls the night, weapon in his hand, proving himself to be much too cunning and foxlike for the bumbling authorities to catch.

"A rumour runs in Marlow, a masked bandido dressed in black prowls the night. As discrete as a shadow in the dark, he glides from roof to roof and always emerges where he is not expected.

He is brave and reckless and undoubtedly the best 'swordsman' of the country. His sword... his long, thick sword, he puts it at the service of what he calls justice. People despise him and he remains an outlaw and there a price on his head. Soldiers are unceasingly running after him but on his pumped up testosterone, faster than the wind, he is uncatchable!

His courage and his elegance particularly impress the señoritas who regard him as a true hero. (not suprising, considering the size of his..) However, he often finds himself in a bad position and must use all of his tricks and skills to get out of it, victorious at leaving his mark each time.

Do you know his name?

This bold renegade carves an 'S' with his "blade", with three quick sprays..

an 'S' that stands for... SPUNKO!"

Spotting El Spunko is hard, as he has a nifty invisibility function which he carries around everywere he goes...

if you do spot him though, he wears a black costume with a cape, a small flat-brimmed hat and a black cowl mask that covers the top of the head from eye level up. He also houses the sign on his chest, in a smelly, white, wet-to-the-touch substance.

Person with old fashioned ideas which he is unwilling to change: Come to the disco and stop being such an old fogey!
You think me an old fogeyand an old tory, his thoughtful voice said. I saw three generations since O’Connel’s time. I remember the famine. Do you know that the orange lodges agitated for repeal of the union twenty years before O’Connel did or before the prelates of your communion denounced him as a demagogue? You fenians forget some things. (James Joyce, Ulysses. Penguin Books,1992. p. 38)
