maychaps 

A combination not unlike mayhaps of the words "perhaps," "perchance," and "maybe." There exists some mild disagreement about the degree of commitment which the word implies. Some contend that it is merely an evasive or wispy response, while others feel that it exudes a more definite tone that merely the words "maybe" or "perhaps" by themselves.
Store owner: "We are offering an exclusive bargain sale on dead parrots today. Would you be interested in purchasing one, my good squire?"

Customer: "Hmm. Maychaps."

Often used when planning something mischevious or pretending to be British.
"mayhaps I'll go get fucked up instead of writing this paper"

Archaic word used in place of perhaps and maybe, it is the incorrect use of the real word "mayhap". Mayhap originated from the old use of the term "it may hap", hap being old happen in old English.
"Do you want to go with me?"
