1: A funny, yet scathing comment used to show disregard to someone's statement, usually by saying (or writing) the opposite of what you're really meaning, without showing you're actually making sarcasm. People assert it's a good defense against stupidity, but since most idiots don't get sarcasm, it can become pretty useless. What's the point in hitting someone hard when they don't even know they are hurt, knowwhatimsayin' ?

2: Although sarcasm often comes from a sharp-witted person, a lot of dumbasses use it too, mainly in order to hide their lack of arguments.
1: Idiot: This music is awesome since it got a million views on Youtube!
You: That's why Justin Bieber and PSY are the most talented artists the world has ever known!
Idiot: Yeah totally!
You: Jesus, dumb people never take sarcasm in...

2: Idiot: You think they're wrong? Yeah, like you've always been the brainiest guy to judge that!
You: That's good sarcasm you got there, but where are your arguments to PROVE me wrong?
Idiot: Well, uh, mmm...

A mix of irony, insults and humor that sassy smartasses use against idiots.

Watch Sugarscape's video titled "Danisnotonfire -Dan Howell- on being SEXY" on Youtube to see an Internet cult leader using sarcasm correctly. Learn from this meme, peasants!
If ignorance is bliss, you must be the happiest person in the world. (Yep this is pretty much sarcasm)

Similar to irony, only worse and less subtle.

1. A form of wit intended to make its victim the butt of contempt or ridicule, by saying something when you mean the opposite (the 'victim' should know this, other wise it won't work).

2. Intended to be bitter.

Was once witty, but is now worn out and over-used, which has resulted in losing it's impact greatly.

Is considered a part of 'dry humour' or 'dry wit'.
Sarcasm is the lowest form of wit.

"Did you know that the sky is blue?"

"NOOO! You don't say?"

The ability to insult the idiots without them realizing it.
e.g.

A. Do I look fat in this dress?
B. No dear you look absolutely.... beautiful. (It would be sarcasm if B actually meant to say 'ugly' instead of 'beautiful)

When used correctly and appropriately, often the most witty form of humour. To describe it primatively, think Chandler from friends!
Hello. I'm Chandler From Friends. I am SOOO not sarcastic. Heh.Sarcasm sooooo isn't my thing.

Only the most effective way to irritate adults, or any authority figure for that matter. Sarcasm is the use of words or phrases that mean the opposite of the message that you are trying to convey.

Also useful for fighting against stupidity, e.g. "you think it's a good idea to go jump that guy but then say hey man it's just a prank". In this situation, sarcasm is the best possible response. You should say, "yeah, right", in the most painfully obvious way as to say that you are joking. This is because, due to sarcasm's rather contradictory and convoluted nature, you automatically get PLAUSIBLE DENIABILITY. The way you use plausible deniability in this context is that if your friend were to get away with it, people might say that you encouraged him by saying "yeah". However, you can claim that you were being sarcastic. On the flipside, however, if your friend were to get stabbed, you would claim sarcasm as to debunk any responsibility for your friend's new injuries.

Also commonly used when in a bad mood, to convey that you are upset but unwilling to talk about it, typically accompanied by eye rolling.
Person 1: "so, how was school"
Person 2: "just GREAT!" With such dramatic eye rolling that they may as well be wheels
Person 1: "I don't like your sarcasm"
Person 2: "what, the sarcasm I got from you?"
