Possum Kicking

The act of grabbing a twelve pack of beer and hitting the back roads and driving until you find a Possom. Once one is found, you shine a bright light on the animal and then kick it. This sport is popular in the agricultural parts of society.

alive and kicking 

To be ok. To be on activity. Often used to emphasize the good health of a person, or the recovery after an accident or a trouble situation. Also used for a conversation with a long old friend.

Kicking the nics

A phrase used to describe the act of quitting smoking. "Nic" is short for nicotine, the addictive chemical found in cigarettes.
"Hey man, have you noticed that John's been in a bad mood lately?"
"Leave him alone man. He's just been a little irritable since he started kicking the nics. Wanna go smoke?"

"Hey man, can I bum a smoke?"
"Sorry man, I don't have any. I'm kicking the nics."

Kicking the shit 

Sitting back, relaxing without a care in the world...even disregarding what situation you're currently in (Even if its serious). A way of being careless while relaxing
Teen: Yo, whats up
Teen 2: Just kicking the shit
Teen: Even when we have finals tomorrow!?
