A catastrophe caused by a jackass.

Friend one: "I just got a call from my friend whose boyfriend 'forgot' to pick her up to take her to the airport on the Friday before Spring Break and didn't answer his phone when she called him to see where he was. She missed her flight, spent 6 hours waiting on stand-by to get another, and THEN her luggage got lost!"

Friend two: "What a total jackasstrophe!"

Friend one: "Totally. And he still hasn't called to apologize!"

A term used to describe the inconsiderate, self-centered, rude, juvenile, emotionally stunted and asinine behavior of husbands and boyfriends.

"My husband excelled to a new level of jackassory today when he not only forgot my birthday but spent $190.00 on another Re-issue Transformers toy".

7. most anything involving or originating from the state of texas

As compensation for overselling the Super Bowl and costing four hundred people thousands of dollars and the chance to see the game live, the jackasstastic Jerry Jones's solution was to give them some money, then take them to a bar, and let them watch the game on television.

Jackassery

A noun describing a state of abject stupidity and ignorance of objective facts when serious decisions need to be made. It can reference an individual or group's actions.

The policy that prevents us from killing people who plant IEDs in the road until they detonate that IED is the highest form of jackassery.

Getting drunk, dancing with those strippers and then sending photos of the party to your wife was jackassery at it's highest form.

Suggesting that we should fly through the mountains at night in fog was total jackassery.
