German for 'idiot.' Confirmed as meaning 'idiot' on Urban Dictionary in 2004 (by someone famous of the name). In 2022 ''you're such a depp'' may be used to imply it's totally OK to cavity search a woman for drugs, insert a bottle into her body, admit all that and text people about killing her then fucking her burnt corpse, yet claim to be a victim of abuse and then be somehow able to miraculously perform concerts in a rock band across the globe as a 'traumatised' victim who absolutely had not used this case to destroy his ex through a smear campaign and relaunch his 'career' this week (25 May 2022).

When an abusive man, even one previously convicted of spousal abuse, lies as a way to dismiss or excuse his own abuse towards her. This is often accompanied by a social campaign against her and the suppression of her evidence in court that he was abusive.

My abusive ex husband who nearly put me in the hospital is pulling a Depp defense.

Depp it 

The phrase "Depp it" means a person would have to do something in a Johnny Depp style. Say, a pirate accent, or wear a top hat with bright orange hair.

Or, it could be an existing object. Someone may need to make it more interesting, so another person would say "Depp it", to make it more interesting (in a Johnny Depp style).

1) "How do you do a pirate accent?"

"Depp it."

2) "I don't know what to do with my halloween costume. Any ideas?"

"Depp it!"

"Yeah, i will, thanks!"
