Possuming: The act of pretending to be unconscious, holding body, breathing and especially eyes still. Purpose normally is to hear what you normally wouldn't because the speakers think you're asleep.

possuming 

Also known as "Possum Wampin," "Possum Stompin" or "Possum Beatin"The act of getting a few people around, going out driving on a back country roads at about midnight or so, attempting to find, and kill, these useless rodent creatures called Opossums(possums). These creatures are commonly found wandering on the road licking the salt left on the road after winter and so early spring is the best time of year to carry out this game. Once the group of possomers comes across a possum, everyone jumps out of the vehicle and runs after the animal to surround it and the carry out the execution. They are not fast animals at all, have no natural predators, are mostly diseased, and are always found on the road flattened with their guts hangin out. And so the small game of "Possuming" has been created. Possums are usualy killed by baseball bats, pick handles, guns, chains, vehicles, and things of that sort.

Piss Posturing 

Piss Posturing = Personal Interest in Social Situations (PISS). Some people fake that they have a sincere personal interest towards one individual in front of others in a social situation. Imagine a CEO holding court at a work function dinner table asking questions of a new junior associate. In the case of Piss Posturing, BOTH the person showing the interest, and the person receiving the interest KNOW that the person showing the interest doesn't give a damn about the other person. It's purely a SHOW, a posturing, to show others how personable and humble the person showing the interest is.

The person being shown attention feels as if he/she is being PISSED ON, and both he and the other person know it. Down deep, despite smiles on the faces, the junior associate is thinking "You don't care about me, you're pissing all over me in front of these people and there's nothing I can do about it."

She's an annoying Piss Posturing socialite. She showed a lot of interest in me at the dinner table, but couldn't remember my name when we left the party.

Posturing Pete 

A male, usually under 30 years of age, suffering from a a condition that forces him to act in such a manner that his exposed muscles are constantly in a flexed position.

We were at the bar and some Posturing Pete showed up wearing a tank top and he had some skanky chick that smelled like cat food with him. He tried to play tough, but everyone just laughed.

Hym "It's the moral posturing. It's people who weren't involved proclaiming to the heaven how bad they feel about the situation. Using it to push their various agendas."

Iam "And if you know anything about me you should be able to see why we're averse to 'people who aren't involved in a situation pretending to care so they can force their beliefs down somebody's throat.' "

Hym "It's an affront to the people who actually care. And I've said this before. I'm repeating myself at this point. That was somebody's job. Not my job."
