Basically, lingering depression.

Dysthymic people tend to feel detached, unhappy, tired, hopeless. While Dysthymic symptoms tend to be less severe than the symptoms found in other, less permanent types of depression, they can linger with a person for their entire life. Usually, in adults, mild depression that lasts for more than 2 years is the definition.

Most suffering from dysthymic depression couldn't tell you the last time they felt truely happy.

Sadly, this is one of the least treated, or diagnosed forms of depression, as the subject tends to believe that these feelings are normal. However, anti-depressants can be very effective in correcting dysthymia.
Everyone said that he always seemed exceptionally detached and unhappy, but nobody knew he was suffering from dysthymia.

Dystextlia

A condition experienced by people who continuously write messages with typos, often exacerbated by lack of predictive text functions on mobile phones and/or frequent misspelling in predictive text functions causing the device to save miss spelt words to the internal dictionary.
I have dystextlia, seriously it's a thing... I am incapable of nit sending a message without typos!

dystocracy

A dystopian and systemically ill form of government that is dysfunctional and ultimately illegitimate.
Our dystocracy has elected this cipher and we have created him in our own image: a spoiled and angry five-year-old with megalomaniacal greed and sexual appetites and the attention span of a gnat.

Dystopia

By definition the total opposite of a utopia often caused by the complete collapse of an attempt at creating said utopia. The primary issue with utopia is that no two people can 100% agree on everything 100% of the time. The other and much bigger issue is that some tyrannical entity (individual or group) will take control and twist it to serve only them resulting in a societal hell and the suffering of others. Sir Thomas More wrote Utopia defining both Utopia and Dystopia (a term he had coined). George Orwell's novel 1984 and Aldous Huxley's Brave New World both show what happens in a dystopian society. The common traits are dehumanization, tyranny, ecological disasters, societal collapse, and the like.
After the Russians overthrew the Czar and the Aristocracy the Communists took over and promised a utopia only for it to become a dystopian nightmare where many millions suffered and died.

dystopia

A bogus utopia run on propaganda; ruled by a repressive government which breaks promises, dashes the hopes of its citizens and destroys wealth.
The X party promised to turn the country into a utopia, if elected. But all they did was create a dystopia by ruining the economy, and squander the nation's resources.

dystopian hipster theme park

the subtitle for Detroit, Michigan for the last twenty plus years. Also where professional athletes who's teams get blown out / routed in the early rounds of their respective league playoffs go to drown their sorrows.
Welcome to Detroit, your dystopian hipster theme park getaway ! Just look up every once in awhile to avoid being hit by falling broken concrete or rusted out steel beams.

Commercial Voice Over : Hey Joe Blow, your team just got the shit kicked out of it in the first round of the playoffs. What are you gonna do next ?
Joe Blow : Well I sure as hell ain't going to Disneyland now, am I ? Guess I'll head me over to the dystopian hipster theme park and smoke me some crack and chug cheap-ass wine !
