pop punk

1.)Punk as fashion.

2.)A hollow version of the Punk Rock movement that began in the 80s.
i.e. wearing the clothes or singing a vague version of the music without actually understanding, or living it.

3.)A musical genre including the main musical groove to Punk Rock but containing lyrical content typical of a generic Pop song, esp. love songs.

Also called "ponk"

The current house speaker (R-Ill). Not previously defined in the Urban Dictionary since he is generally such a quiet and un-noticed political entity. Unlike such prior falmboyant figures as Newt Gingrich and other republican gems who have crashed and burned, he accomplishes approximately as much without being noticed...a rather huge accomplishment in the field of politics.
