fruck

When a child (present company included, when I was much younger) tries to say "truck", the word might come out sounding like "fruck" and shocking Mom and Dad.
_ Mommy, look at that big red fruck1
_ Johnny, what did you say? "Fruck" is a bad word!
_ Fruck!
_ It's "truck", Johnny. Truck. Watch my mouth when I say it. Truck---T-R-U-C-K!

skin mirror

Skin that is so oily and/or shiny that one can virtually see his or her reflection in it.
I don't mind the fact that Nancy has a skin mirror---as a matter of fact, I think that if she starts using makeup and all that other shit, she'll ruin her complexion!

your call is important to us

Perhaps the biggest bit of corporate and public-sector BS ever foisted upon us as middle- and lower-economic class people. Usually indicates that you'll have to endure ten to thirty minutes of bland wallpaper music or loops of repeated advertisements before a real human voice gets on the phone.
I tried to call my insurance company to find out about their rates for fire insurance, but all I got was "your call is important to us"!

bughorn

The English horn (cor anglais), a member of the oboe family and pitched lower than the oboe. Next in lower pitch is the heckelphone, then bassoon, then contrabassoon. The English horn sounds "sneaky" to some people and might suggest crawling insects. I personally LOVE the sound of the English horn and think it has one of the most haunting sounds of any orchestral instrument.
There's Donna playin' the bughorn!
