Quantum Foam 

Tiny, foam-like distortions of space-time at the level of the Planck length. If we could peer into the fabric of space time at the Planck length, we would see tiny bubbles and wormholes, with a foam-like appearance.

Our universe may have been born out of a sea of quantum foam.

Many Worlds Theory 

The quantum theory which states that all possible quantum universes can exist simultaneuously. It solves the Schrodinger cat problem by stating that the universe splits at each quantum junture, and hence the cat is alive in one universe and dead in another.

In other words, everything that can happen, does happen (just in seperate worlds). Every possibility plays itself out in one universe or another.

Recently, an increasing number of physicists have voiced their support for the Many Worlds Theory.

Red Shift 

The reddening or decrease in frequency of light from distant galaxies due to the Doppler effect, indicating that they are moving away from us. The red shift can also take place via expansion of empty space, as in the expanding universe. The opposite of blue shift.

Most galaxies are red shifted, this tells us that our universe is expanding.

Wimp 

Has many meanings as follows:

1. Wimp. A physical or emotional weakling; someone who lacks courage. It is meant as a mild insult.

2. WIMP is acronym for 'Weakly Interacting Massive Particle'. WIMPs are conjectured to make up most of the dark matter in the universe.

3. In computing stands for 'Window, Icon, Menu, Pointer' paradigm.

4. As a term coined by Rush Limbaugh Wimp means 'Women-Influenced Male Person.'

1. Tim was often called a wimp by the other boys in class because he was smaller than they were.

2. One leading candidate for the WIMPs are the sparticles predicted by string theory.

3. WIMP interaction was developed at Xerox and popularized by Macintosh.

4. Rush Limbaugh comes up with all kinds of crazy slang, such as Mega Dittoes and WIMP.

A user of LSD. Based on the term 'pot head', but for LSD instead of pot.

Paul was an acid head and enjoyed tripping on LSD.

1. Silly, Ditzy, and Dumb. Used as a mild insult.

2. A user of marijuana.
