The movement is in response to the mean spirited and greedy plutocrats who not only control the outcome of the elections but the votes in Congress, Court decissions, and the actions of the President. Occupy Wall Street Movement is based in part on the Arab Spring in which the people took to the streets and seized control of the countries that were ruled by dictators. While it started on Wall Street it has spread rapidly to Main Streets throughout the USA.
The Occupy Wall Street movement wants to make sure Wall Street shakers and fakers are held accountable for the illegal activities that contributed to the Great Recession. They want to change the incentive systems in capitalism to favor society as a whole, instead of the greed and contempt of a few.

It is amazing in the day of high speed communications that it takes three weeks for the Occupy Wall Street movement to get from the social media and street to the corporate media. Even more amazing is how the movements clear message of social and equal justice can be distorted by the corporate media.

Get the Affirmative Reactionmug. A legal defense by rich kids and or adults who are guilty of a crime for which they committed and freely admit. The defence is that the offspring of wealthy, privileged parents who never set limits on their childrens behavior, are exempt from regular laws because natural law allows for special privilege and greater understanding for the rich and powerful in general. This argument comes from a branch of philosophy called circular logic. If the defense works it also means that instead of applying legal limits on rich people's behavior it legally exempts them and only them. This strengthens the defense in further legal problems should they occur again.
The affluenza defense works a lot better than a similar defense works for the offspring or poor, impoverished and suppressed parents, who don't have the resources to feed, cloth or house their kids properly, and because of time and resource constraints are unable keep tract or to set limits on their childrens behavior.
