A type of tri-folded wooden screen with wooden dividers that are either diagonal, horizontal or both that is backed with rice paper or a thin white fabric. Originated in Japan it has seen many other styles as it has become westernized.

I bought a really cute shoji screen from IKEA, I'm going to use it to cover the air conditioner unit in my apartment.
