2.5 million people marched through London against Britains involvement in Gulf war 2 and other marches the same day involved another 4 million people. There wishes were ignored. A price Blair is now paying at the ballot box.

Great Britain
An often misused term. Great Britain in the geographical sense refers to the largest of the 800+ islands that make up the British Isles.
In the political sense it refers to the union between Engalnd Scotland and Wales, and the central government of the same. (Add Northern Ireland into the equation and you get The United Kingdom)

A media term. An ideal which all newspapers, TV stations and other media should aspire too. This means giving equal air time column inches etc to all sides of the arguement. However in the world of commercial media cartels this ideal is sacrificed on the alter of the profit margin, political influence and self interest.
These days to gain a fair and balanced view of current events it is best to source your news from a number of different sources that offer as wider range of opinions as possible and make your own mind up.
