The Kentucky Yankee's definitions
Something that most Christians should be doing. This is appealing to other people about the greatness, the power, and the love of the Lord Our God. You are attempting to bring them to Jesus Christ, repent of their sins, and accept Him into their lives.

Get the evangelismmug. A hard-working white person or just an unsophisticated white person that possesses one or many of the characteristics and qualities of their counterparts that live in the South.
The differences are:
1.) They talk with Northern/Midwestern accents and don't say y'all as much or they don't say it at all.
2.) Some Northern rednecks (but nowhere near all of them) tend to be more racist than southern rednecks.
3.) Don't engage in "redneck sports" like muddin' and hog calling, unless it's in the lower regions of the North, such as southern Indiana or northern/northwestern Kentucky. Northern Rednecks have their own sports like snow mobile riding, hubcap discus throwing (but that also exists in some parts in the South), and ice fishing.
4.) Though also a stereotype as with all rednecks or anyone else that doesn't support Kerry or ultra-liberal ideas, most (but not all) of Northern rednecks are Republicans and/or strong Bush-supporters. Also, they are also very patriotic about their nation and their soldiers. That is NOT a bad thing at all.
In short, Northern rednecks are good and awesome people in my opinion.

I am a local of northern Kentucky with Indiana and Michigan influence (family, local music of that area, etc.) I have a nasal "twang" accent of Indiana and the Upper Midwest. Also, I am a loyal Bush Supporter and a devout Republican. Therefore, I am a Northern Redneck.

Get the born losermug. Terrible, terrible music made for Southern rednecks and other idiots. This is probably the worst form of music on the planet, ranking up there with raggae and Southern Rock. My mom loves it for some reason, i dont know HOW she does though.
Anyways, lots of country music is the same as Southern Rock: they all discuss loyalty to the South, driving ugly-ass pickup trucks, picking up redneck girls, romance between a redneck girl, some Southern woman leaving her man, and other crap dealing with tractors and occasionaly, America, which they are making look bad.

I heard that one country song where the moron lists of the states in the South.....yet he didnt mention Kentucky......my theory is correct, Kentucky isnt an actual part of the South!

Get the Country Musicmug. A flat, cool state in the Midwest that has the Nation's 3rd largest city: Chicago. The state is said to have two different regions. Those are Chicagoland and Downstate. However, Downstate also applies to cities and areas north and west of Chicago, too.
In addition to that, here's something to think about: With the completion of the 2004 Presidential Election, a new map of the United States was created, including the "United States of Canada" and Jesusland. However, Illinois would be totally Republican if it wasn't for Chicago. That's why it is inaccurate to include all of Illinois into the United States of Canada as a Blue State.

Get the Illinoismug. A sarcastic or lighthearted term for bare feet, or to go barefoot. This is derived from the stereotype that most Kentuckians are a bunch of hillbillies who go around barefoot, make moonshine, practice incest, etc.

Get the Kentucky shoesmug. A large denomination in the religion of Christianity that has smaller factions such as Missionary Baptists and Southern Baptists. This is not a denomination that is predominantly composed of Southern Whites, contrary to popular beliefs and opinions. Instead, it is a widespread religion that is practiced by many people here (Ohio River Valley) in the Midwest, the Northeast, all of The North, the West Coast, and even over in Europe. It is one of many Protestant (Non-Catholic) groups that are Christian, are being Baptist is also a great thing to be.
Baptists are devout Christians who know Jesus is the Savior as well as the only son of God. They go by the teachings of the Bible, worship God AND Jesus, and have accepted Jesus into their heart and experience the miracles and love of God, who is the ONE AND ONLY true god.
