pay phones
Phones that cost 50 cents to use & are out in public. They used to be 10 cents in the 70's & 5 cents in New Orleans.
When I used pay phones in the 70's, I was surprised that it only gave 3 minutes of talk time for 10 cents!

karma
Getting what you give~if you're mean, you get bad karma~bad things happen. If you're kindly & nice, you'll get good karma~good things will happen.
When I tried to spit on that bitch's car, it didn't work & I got bad karma. But plenty of other times I've been cool to people & have gotten good karma.

sonic boom
It's when an airplane broke the sound barrier at 657 MPH & the boom was So Loud! This was in the 60's & 70's. I sure do miss hearing it!
Hearing a sonic boom was the highlight of my day when I was a kid & still would be. The boom was So Powerful & echoed off the mountains!

Harlem Globetrotters
A Very Famous group of absolutely fantastic basketball players who did amazing tricks with a basketball! They toured & crowds loved them! I think they're still in existence today.
My Dad took us to see the Harlem Globetrotters & when they introduced them 1 by 1, each guy took like a 3' step forward! They sure put on a Great Show!

The Olympics
Held every 4 years, this year in Rio De Janerio, 167 countries compete in many various sports & it's a Thrill to watch! It lasts a lil over 2 weeks. My favorite sport is gymnastics. Originated from sports events in Olympia, Greece very many centuries ago!
I can't wait til The Olympics start! I'll be glued to the TV & get to see excellent athletes from so many different countries! I love the opening & closing ceremonies too & the lighting of the Olympic Torch, the parade of flags from all the different countries. The Winter Olympics occur every 4 years staggered by a 2~year time frame from the Summer Olympics.

Y2K
Supposedly at Midnight on January 1, 2000, all electronic devices would cease to work. Lots & Lots of people stocked up on food & household items. Y2K didn't happen tho!
I prepared for Y2K & had enuf food for a family of 4 for a year or enuf for 1 person for 4 years. I had all the food groups & lots of water too. I went up into the wilderness & came back to find out Y2K didn't even happen! Supposedly ATM machines & grocery stores' cash registers wouldn't work. The 1st thing I bought was a gallon of Hershey's Chocolate Syrup!
